rof. Dr. Mahmood Shaukat is a distinguished Pediatric Surgeon and Pediatrician with nearly four decades of clinical and academic experience. Recognized as one of the best pediatric surgeons in Lahore, he is known for his compassionate approach, surgical excellence, and dedication to child health. A graduate of King Edward Medical University, Dr. Shaukat earned his FRCS (Fellowship of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons) in 1990. Over the years, he has garnered national and international acclaim for his contributions to pediatric surgery and medical education. He is currently serving as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore, and is the President of the Association of Paediatric Surgeons of Pakistan. Despite coming from a family of lawyers, Dr. Shaukat chose to forge his own path in medicine, driven by passion and a commitment to healing. His clinical expertise spans a wide range of pediatric surgical procedures including the treatment of appendicitis, hernias, gallbladder disorders, reproductive defects, and various pediatric cancers. Previously, he served as the Principal of Allama Iqbal Medical College at Jinnah Hospital from 2010 to 2017. Currently, he practices as a Pediatric Surgeon at Ramzan Ali Syed Hospital, where he continues to provide expert surgical care to children of all ages. Dr. Mahmood Shaukat is also a proud member of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
